Understanding Amazon Relay Performance
Amazon Relay Performance is Amazon’s system for tracking and rating the reliability of carriers and drivers. Your performance score directly affects the loads you receive, your access to premium freight, and your eligibility for certain programs.
1. What Is the Performance Score?
Amazon rates carriers with a letter grade (A+, A, B, C, D, or F) based on recent performance metrics.
A+: Excellent performance, highest load priority.
A–B: Good standing but with minor issues.
C–F: Risk of fewer load offers or even account suspension.
2. Key Performance Metrics
Your score is based on:
On-Time Arrivals & Departures – Arriving late to pick-up or delivery can lower your grade.
Load Cancellations – Canceling accepted loads last minute hurts your score significantly.
No-Shows – Missing a load without notice has the biggest negative impact.
Compliance & Safety – Violations, failed inspections, or unsafe driving reports affect your standing.
3. Why Performance Matters
More Load Access – Higher scores get first access to better-paying and more consistent freight.
Steady Work – Amazon prefers to work with reliable carriers.
Business Reputation – A high score shows professionalism to Amazon and other shippers.
4. How to Maintain an A+ Score
Plan your trips with extra time for traffic or delays.
Avoid canceling loads after accepting them.
Communicate with Amazon Relay support if issues arise.
Keep your trucks inspection-ready and compliant.
